Homemade Naan Bread

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour

  • 1 tsp sugar

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 1 tsp instant yeast

  • 3/4 cup warm milk

  • 2 tablespoons plain greek yogurt or sour cream

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil or melted butter

  • 2-3 tablespoons warm water (as needed)

Instructions:

  • Combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast in a allow to sit for 5 minutes.

  • Add flour, salt, yogurt & oil and mix until shaggy dough forms.

  • Knead for 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.

  • Cover and allow to double in size (about 1-1.5 hours).

  • Divide into 6 even balls and flatten with your hand.

  • Sear in a dry skillet until bubbles form (about 1-2 minutes).

  • Cover with towel to keep warm.

Optional:

  • Brush with garlic butter and top with parsley!
